The roles and responsibilities of Cardiovascular Technician: 

Diagnostic Procedures: 

Perform non-invasive cardiac tests such as echocardiograms, EKGs (electrocardiograms), exercise stress tests, and Holter monitoring. 

Assist with or perform vascular tests that analyze blood flow, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, cerebral circulation, peripheral circulation, and abdominal circulation. 

Equipment Operation and Maintenance: 

Set up, calibrate, and maintain cardiovascular diagnostic equipment. 

Ensure that all machines are in good working order and report any malfunctions for timely repair. 

Patient Interaction: 

Prepare patients for cardiovascular tests by explaining procedures, positioning patients, applying electrodes, and ensuring patient comfort. 

Monitor patients’ well-being during tests, watching for any adverse reactions.
