A Perfusionist is a highly specialized healthcare professional who plays a vital role in cardiac surgeries and other medical procedures. Our Perfusionists diligently operate the heart-lung machine, which temporarily takes over the functions of the heart and lungs during surgeries. They play an important role in ensuring that a patient’s blood is oxygenated and circulates properly while the surgical team works on the heart. Their precise and life-saving work is essential in cardiac surgery, organ transplantation, and other procedures requiring circulatory support.
