They are often referred to as Cardiac Monitor Technician or EKG Technician. Roles and Responsibilities of a Telemetry Technician: 

Continuous Cardiac Monitoring: 

Monitor multiple patients’ heart rhythms simultaneously using telemetry equipment ensuring consistent surveillance. 

Interpretation of Cardiac Rhythms: 

Analyze and differentiate between normal and abnormal cardiac rhythms. Recognize arrhythmias or other cardiac anomalies that may require medical intervention. 

Alarm Response: 

Promptly respond to any alarms or alerts from the telemetry equipment, indicating potential abnormalities or changes in a patient’s heart rhythm.
